Jade Jagger S*!#t-Faced on Trans Atlantic Flight
Source: AHN
Jade Jagger, 35 year old daughter of rocker Mick Jagger, caused quite a commotion on board a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to New York. Jagger was escorted to the first-class section of the aircraft, as a guest of Virgin owner Richard Branson.
She proceeded to get blotto drunk, and is alleged to have kicked a flight attendant who was trying to put up her seat tray for landing. A witness said, "Jade was kicking the flight attendant from under her duvet, not allowing the flight attendants to put her tray away because her feet were on it."
Jagger's male friend, a witness said, grabbed a wine glass from a fellow passenger, drained it, and then made an off-color remark to the passenger's female companion.
A passenger told the New York Post, "Jade was escorted onto the plane with two friends. They all proceeded to get drunk and loud and were falling down in the aisles, climbing over seats, pointing at people and talking about them aloud. They helped themselves to bottles of alcohol on the bar and generally disrupted the entire first-class section." The passenger said that at one point the captain had to come out of the cockpit.
Jagger's rep tried to explain away her client's bad behavior, citing a fear of flying. "Jade has a fear of flying and often has a drink before she boards a flight to calm her down. She was taken great care of by the cabin crew at Virgin Atlantic. While she had fun with her traveling companions, she did not realize that her talking and laughing would cause offense and regrets causing any disruption of which, until now, she was completely unaware."
The rep denied all of the incidents except over-indulging in alcohol, saying "There was no climbing over seats. Nor did any falling down the aisles occur, and there was no visit from the captain or reprimand by cabin crew. As far as 'kicking an attendant,' she is utterly dismayed that anyone would even suggest such a thing."
