A leading British film makeup artist, Alan Hedgcock, was convicted yesterday of conspiracy to commit rape against two minors, 13 and 14 year old sisters. Hedgcock was involved with two other men from an internet chat room, in a plot to kidnap the two young girls, take them to the woods, and rape them. The plot was discovered when one of the men involved informed the police, saying he was, in reality, a "vigilante" involved in the chat rooms to take down pedophiles. Unfortunately for the vigilante, however, he was convicted of two counts of conspiracy to rape and sentenced to at least 11 years in jail. The third man was sentenced to a minimum of 8 years behind bars. Hedgcock received a sentence of at least 8 years as well.

Alan Hedgcock is well known for his makeup and special effects work on such films as 'Black Hawk Down', 28 Days Later', 'Kingdom of Heaven', 'Hellbound: Hellraiser 2', and 'The Upside of Anger'.
