Brandy's $50 Million Lawsuit Bogus?

TMZ reports that the pending lawsuit against Brandy for the December 2006 car crash resulting in the death of Awatef Aboudihaj, could be bogus.

The suit was filed by the parents of Aboudihaj, and California law says that only the spouse may file for wrongful death. TMZ was told that the suit was filed without consulting the husband beforehand, so it's possible that the entire suit may be thrown out of court.

The only way a suit from the parents would be legal is if they were financially dependant on their daughter, which was not the case. They live in Morocco, their daughter had lived in the US for 11 years, and they were not supported by her.

The laywer for the husband, LA attorney Bill Sayed, is currently involved in investigating Brandy's net worth, and says a suit is forthcoming. The total would not be anywhere near $50 million, but will probably be a combination of Brandy's insurance policy limit and something from Brandy herself for damages.
