Charlize Sued by Swiss Watch Company

Charlize Theron is in hot water, and all because she doesn't wear watches regularly. Theron signed a lucrative endorsement deal with luxury Swiss watch maker, Raymond Weil, and all she had to do was wear the company's watches to public events. Charlize showed up to an event wearing a Christian Dior watch, and that was a huge no-no, getting the Oscar winner slapped with a big fat lawsuit.

"If you're the model for Ralph Lauren, you can't show up wearing Gucci at the Academy Awards," said David Jaroslawicz, an attorney for the watchmaker. "She undercut our entire ad campaign."

Theron ticked off Weil when she turned up in a Tourneau catalogue wearing a diamond-encrusted watch over the words, "Charlize Theron wears Dior." She also had been photographed at a Texas film festival last March allegedly wearing a Dior watch.

"We spent a fortune on an ad campaign centered around her," Jaroslawicz said. "Then she goes off and makes us look silly in the industry by wearing Dior."

The watch company justs wants back the cash that they have already paid her, and she will be dumped as their spokesperson.

Theron's reps did not return phone calls.
