80's Band Wham! to Re-Form

Perennial tabloid fodder George Michael has convinced his former musical cohort, Andrew Ridgely, to get back on the proverbial horse and re-form Wham!. The 80's pop "band" had such hits as "Wake Me up Before You Go-Go" and "Freedom".

They last performed together in 1986, before George Michael went solo, both musically, and infamously being arrested multiple times for "engaging in lewd acts".

Michael has had a very successful solo musical career, until his legal troubles, which included record company contract disputes, drug problems, as well as exposing himself in a men's room to an undercover police officer, and subsequently being sued by that same policeman for slander.

Ridgely has continued in the music business as well, though not as flamboyantly as Michael. He has been writing songs for other artists under various pseudonyms.

The pop duo is slated to fly to the US this Summer to start recording tracks for a new album, and there is a possibility of a tour later.

Hopefully George can keep his whang in his pants long enough for that to happen.
