Boy-band mastermind, Lou Perlman, is not having a good day. The man behind such acts as 'N Sync, The Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, LFO, and O-Town is the target of more than $130 million worth of claims against him, related to business interests that range from an airline leasing company to restaurants.

The $130 million does not include the $33 million judgement against him that he has been ordered to pay on previous lawsuits. All of these suits seem to be generated by Perlamn's companies defaulting on business and personal loans.

In the past both The Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync had separately sued Perlman over contract issues, both bands stating that they received an unfairly low cut of their earnings.

Perlman blames the lawsuits on "deep pocket syndrome", and says he is just a target because he has been successful in business.

I can think of lots of people who have the big bucks who haven't been sued for shoddy business practices, and as Justin Timberlake said of Perlman "I was being monetarily raped by a Svengali".

Ouch! It looks like Lou might be the one requiring the lube now.
